Josie Maran is an American model and actress. Josie Maran began her career as a model at the age of 12 after being discovered by an agent in a barbecue restaurant. Five years later, Josie Maran signed up with the Elite modeling agency of Los Angeles, and not long after Josie Maran landed on the cover of Glamour magazine in 1998. Josie Maran was also featured as a “Guess? Girl” in the brand’s 1998 summer and fall campaigns. Josie Maran also starred in various commercials and advertisements during this time. Josie Maran also appeared in the Backstreet Boys video of the song “Everybody (Backstreet’s Back).”

Not long after, Josie Maran moved to New York City. In 1999, she became an image model for Maybelline cosmetics. Josie Maran later posed for the annual Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Issue from 2000 to 2002. Josie Maran is currently signed with Storm Model Management in London and 1/One Management in New York City.

Aside from being a popular model, Josie Maran is also an actress of repute. Josie Maran ventured into the world of acting by working in independent movies such as “The Mallory Effect,” and “Swatters” in 2002. Two years later, Josie Maran made appearances in three movies, “Little Black Book, ““Van Helsing,” and “The Aviator.” In the last two movies she was able to work with popular actors Hugh Jackman and Leonardo DiCaprio. In 2005, Josie Maran played a role in the movie “The Confession” opposite Wentworth Miller, followed by “The Gravedancers” in 2006.

In 2005, Josie Maran was cast by EA Games to serve as the main character of the street-racing video and computer game, “Need for Speed: Most Wanted.” In 2007, Josie Maran established her own natural cosmetics product line named Josie Maran Cosmetics.

Later the same year, Josie Maran joined the celebrity dance show, “Dancing with the Stars.”

Aside from acting and modeling, Josie Maran is also interested in music. Josie Maran has played for two bands, Darling and Hollywood 2000, in which she sang and played the violin.
