Josie Maran is an American actress and model born on May 8, 1978 in Menlo Park, California. Josie Maran studied at the Castilleja School in Palo Alto, California. Josie Maran began her modeling career at the age of 12 after being discovered by a modeling scout. Josie Maran later found herself modeling for magazines such as Glamour, and from then she focused in becoming an ad/image model.

Among the first brands Josie Maran endorsed was “GUESS?” and this was followed by a string of commercials and ad campaigns. Josie Maran later played a role in the Backstreet Boys music video, “Everybody (Backstreet’s Back) as Count Dracula’s (Howie D.) female companion. In 1999, Josie Maran became the new face of Maybelline cosmetics. Josie Maran was later featured at the Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Issue from 2000 to 2002.

Josie Maran soon took up acting lessons and eventually entered into the movies. Josie Maran began working in independent movies such as “Swatters” and “The Mallory Effect.” In 2004, Josie Maran bagged supporting roles in the movies “Van Helsing,” “Little Black Book” and “The Aviator.” Josie Maran also played a character role opposite Wentworth Milller in the movie “The Confessions.” Josie Maran later starred in the movie “The Gravedancers.”

Aside from acting and modeling, Josie Maran also serves as the main character of the video game, “Need for Speed: Most Wanted.” Josie Maran also established her own cosmetics line, “Josie Maran Cosmetics.”

In 2007, Josie Maran competed in the celebrity dance contest, “Dancing with the Stars.”

Josie Maran was once in a relationship with magician David Blaine. Josie Maran is at present in a relationship with photographer Ali Alborzi, and together they have a child, Rumi Joon, born in 2006.
